Advanced Single Post Locking Options
Using the new advanced post locking options which came with version 1.0.7, you can use advanced rules to lock your posts. The advanced post locking interface is an added meta box to the right of your post editor as illustrated below:
By selecting any method for locking your post, options for locking that post will be revealed. Ie, if you select “Lock this post after X days”, a $ value box for required pledge and a day count box will appear, allowing you to determine after how many days the post will be locked and for what $ value.
If you set any new value for the locking rule and its options, a rule which will override all other rules that affect this particular post/page will be saved. The locking rule, the locking value will override every other rule. For example if you set ‘Show posts after 5 days’ with a lock value $5 for ‘post’ post type in plugin administration page at ‘Content Locking’ tab, but you set a ‘Lock post after 1 day’ with a $3 value, this last rule will overrule the other only for this post.
Below is a breakdown of methods you can use with advanced lock:
Lock after date
If you set any day, month, year for this option and give a $ value, then the post will be locked after the date you set, and it will require that $ value to be able to view.
Show after date
If you set any day, month, year for this option and give a $ value, then the post will be locked until the date you set, and it will require that $ value to be able to view.
Lock this post after (X) days
If you set a day value for this option with an accompanying $ value, then the post will be locked after that many days, and it will require that $ value to be able to view.
Show this post after (X) days
If you set a day value for this option with an accompanying $ value, then the post will be locked for that many days from the date of the post, and it will require that $ value to be able to view.
