Patron Pro brings you post excerpts locked by custom $ level with 1.2.7, a feature which a lot of you asked for!
Previously you could lock parts of your posts only for $1. With this new feature, you can set a specific $ level to mark an excerpt only for patrons pledging at that $ level or more.
With 1.2.7, upon clicking the ‘Patron Only’ button in your visual/text editor (classic) after selecting part of your content, a window will pop up and ask you which $ level would you want to use for locking that excerpt.
You can set any $ amount in this window, and then when you click ‘Save’, the excerpt will be updated with shortcode that marks it for that $ amount.
The excerpts which you previously locked before this feature will stay at default $1 level. If you want to change their $ value, you will need to edit the post which those old excerpts are in, and click the button to update the shortcode with a new $ level. The same applies if you want to change the $ level of an excerpt which you locked with this feature.
The full shortcode format is:
[ppp_patron_only level=”2″]Your content here[/ppp_patron_only]
Where level is any $ amount you want to set, ie in this example its $2. You should not include the $ sign if you use this shortcode manually.
New Non-patrons only shortcode
1.2.7 also brings you a new shortcode – “Non-patrons only”.
Using this shortcode, you can mark part of your post/content to be shown to only those who are not your patrons. Like, ads, or notices for non patrons.
Using this shortcode is as easy as the Patron Only shortcode – in your WP post editor, select part of your post/content which you want to mark as non-patrons only, and then click the ‘Non-patrons only’ button in your toolbar (in visual or text mode in classic editor). This will wrap that part of your post/content with non-patrons shortcode, and that content will only be seen by non-patrons.
Post footer for ‘Show after date’ posts
A post footer which tells user that a post will be free/public in X days was added. This footer shows on content that is locked, but will be public at a certain date.
Thanks to MaryAnn Johanson of flickphilosopher.com for her collaboration on developing this minor feature.

Updating
Updating Patron Pro is now very easy:
If you see a notice that says new version is available for Patron Pro in your WordPress admin, just click to upgrade your installation. Patron Pro will do the rest. Upgrading requires having an active license which is saved in the Addons tab of your Patron Pro admin. If you recently activated your license, you may need to wait ~45 minutes for it to be recognized.
If you aren’t able to see any notice or updates, then you may need to do it manually once. To do that, just deactivate/delete Patron Plugin Pro by CodeBard in your WordPress plugin admin. Then download the latest version from your CodeBard account, and upload/install and activate the patron-plugin-pro.zip you just downloaded. Patron Pro will do the rest.

Hi, there I am a Pro Licence holder and I have recently sent in tech support for this question but did not get a reply.
I am wanting to use the shortcode to drip-feed content. I want to use the lifetime value to show content within a post as shown below:
My post would include text that anyone can read non-patreons etc…
Non-Patreon Text block
(shortcode for lifetime support of $7)
Then a block of text showing to only the members who have a Lifetime pledged total of $7 (regardless of Tier of support)
(shortcode for lifetime support of $12)
Then a block of text showing to only the members who have a Lifetime pledged total of $12 (regardless of Tier of support)
(shortcode for lifetime support of $23)
Then a block of text showing to only the members who have a Lifetime pledged total of $23 (regardless of Tier of support)
etc…
I cannot find the shortcode to do this. Could you advise, please?
I believe we already handled this through help desk.
