Patron Pro now provides a very useful feature that will allow you to reward your family, friends, long time supporters, and even integrate your supporters that back you in venues outside Patreon.
The new ‘VIP user’ feature allows you to mark a user as a VIP, which will grant that user access to all content. VIP user will see a special content footer that tells him/her that s/he has access to that particular content because of his/her VIP status.
Custom Patreon Levels also can be set for any user, which will entitle them to content that is locked at or lower than that $ value. This allows you to integrate regular users from other venues (PayPal, other membership systems etc) to your WordPress site.

Additionally, Patron Widgets Plugin’s post button and footer has been made to be hidden for valid patrons that are viewing locked content which they have access to. This way, you wont be re-asking users who are already paying patrons to become patrons in footers of unlocked posts.
A change was made in priorities of the Patron Pro metaboxes which are added to WordPress post editor so that now they wont appear before default WP post editor metaboxes like “Publish”, “Categories” and “Tags”.
Updating Patron Pro is now very easy:
If you see a notice that says new version is available for Patron Pro in your WordPress admin, just click to upgrade your installation. Patron Pro will do the rest. Upgrading requires having an active license which is saved in the Addons tab of your Patron Pro admin. If you recently activated your license, you may need to wait ~45 minutes for it to be recognized.
If you aren’t able to see any notice or updates, then you may need to do it manually once. To do that, just deactivate/delete Patron Plugin Pro by CodeBard in your WordPress plugin admin. Then download the latest version from your CodeBard account, and upload/install and activate the patron-plugin-pro.zip you just downloaded. Patron Pro will do the rest.
